For agencies
Use your own domain for share links
Serve client share links from your own subdomain, like reports.youragency.com, by adding a DNS record.

You want clients to open their reports at your own address, like reports.youragency.com, instead of an AI Peekaboo address.
What it does
A custom domain makes the share links you copy from the app use your address. A link looks like https://reports.youragency.com/share/… instead of an aipeekaboo.com link.
It is included with any plan billed at $250 a month or more, older plans included. It also needs white-label turned on; see White-label.
Things to know up front:
- Only share pages work on your domain. Nothing else in the app is served there.
- Links you already sent on aipeekaboo.com keep working.
- You can connect one domain per workspace.
- It must be a subdomain, like
reports.youragency.com. A bare domain likeyouragency.comis not supported.
Before you start
- A subdomain you control, such as
reports.youragency.com. - Access to the DNS settings for that domain. This is usually your domain registrar or DNS host.
- A workspace admin account.
Steps in the app
- Make sure white-label is on (Settings, then Branding).
- Open Settings, then Share links.
- Enter your subdomain, for example
reports.youragency.com. - Peekaboo shows the DNS records to add. Copy them.
- Add the records at your DNS provider (see below).
- Come back and wait. Peekaboo checks your DNS on its own about every 10 minutes. You can also select Check now.
The status starts as Waiting for DNS. It changes to Live when the records are found and the certificate is ready. If something is wrong, it shows Needs attention.
The records you add
You will always add a CNAME record:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | your subdomain, for example reports | cname.vercel-dns.com |
Sometimes you will also see a TXT record on _vercel. It proves you own the domain. Add it exactly as shown.
The Name field is the subdomain part only. For reports.youragency.com, enter reports. Many providers add your domain to the end for you. If you type the full name, you can end up with reports.youragency.com.youragency.com.
Cloudflare
Add the CNAME, then set the proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud). If the cloud is orange (proxied), the certificate cannot be issued and the domain will not go Live.
GoDaddy
Go to DNS settings for your domain and add a record. Choose CNAME, enter reports as the Name, and paste the value.
Namecheap
Open Advanced DNS for your domain and add a new record. Choose CNAME Record, enter reports as the Host, and paste the value.
Google Domains or Squarespace
Google Domains moved to Squarespace. Open the DNS settings for your domain, add a custom record, choose CNAME, and enter reports as the host name.
Route 53
Open your hosted zone and create a record. Enter reports as the record name, choose CNAME, and paste the value.
How long it takes
Usually a few minutes. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to reach everyone, depending on your provider. You do not need to stay on the page. Peekaboo keeps checking, and emails the workspace admins when the domain goes Live.
Troubleshooting
Still Waiting for DNS. Check that the Name is just the subdomain, the value is exactly cname.vercel-dns.com, and you saved the record. On Cloudflare, check the cloud is grey. Wait a few more minutes, then select Check now.
Needs attention. Peekaboo could not find the records it expects. Compare your DNS to the records shown in Settings, then select Check now. If a CNAME was removed or changed later, the domain stops serving until you put it back. Peekaboo emails the workspace admins when a domain breaks.
The domain belongs to someone else's Vercel account. If the subdomain is already attached to another Vercel account, you need to add the TXT record on _vercel that Peekaboo shows. It proves you own the domain.
CAA records. If your domain has CAA records that limit which companies can issue certificates, add one that allows letsencrypt.org. Without it, the certificate cannot be issued.
Homepage redirect
People who open the bare domain, like https://reports.youragency.com, would normally see a not-found page. Only share pages are served there. You can set an optional Homepage redirect to send those visitors to a URL you choose, such as your agency website.
If your plan or white-label changes
If your plan drops below $250 a month, or white-label is turned off, your domain stops serving share links. Links you copy use the aipeekaboo.com address again, and the old links on your domain stop opening. Your DNS records and the domain setting are kept, so moving back to a qualifying plan or turning white-label on again brings the domain back.
To see which plans qualify, open Settings, then Billing.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect your domain at any time from Settings, then Share links. After that, share links use the aipeekaboo.com address again. You can also remove the DNS records at your provider.
