Adding competitors

Learn the three ways to track competitors and why the comparison runs through the exact same pipeline.

Your own visibility score only tells half the story. The other half is how you stack up against the brands AI assistants are naming instead of you, for the exact same questions. Tracking competitors puts that comparison directly in your dashboard.

You see every tracked competitor scored with the identical formula as your own brand, so a higher number next to yours is a real measured gap.

Three ways to add a competitor

Brands in AI Answers shows real brands that have already turned up in your tracked prompts' AI responses but that you haven't added as a tracked competitor yet. Since these are brands AI is already naming in your category, adding one is a single click.

You rarely have to type anything: brands already appearing in your prompts' AI answers are one click to track, with AI suggestions and manual entry as backups.

AI Suggestions generates a list of likely competitors based on your brand and business context, each with a short justification for why it was suggested. If the first batch doesn't look right, you can regenerate it.

Manual lets you add a competitor directly by name and domain, useful when you already know exactly who you want to track and don't need AI Peekaboo to suggest anyone.

Once added, competitors can be edited or removed at any time.

Why the comparison is fair

Every competitor you track runs through the exact same scoring pipeline as your own brand: the same detection rules, the same scoring formula, the same rank and sentiment logic. Nothing about the comparison is stacked in your favor, and nothing is stacked against a competitor either. If a competitor's score comes in higher than yours, that's a real measured gap, not an artifact of the tool treating your brand differently.
