What is local AI visibility tracking?
Local tracking adds a separate AI search check to a prompt you already track, sent with the city you choose as the search location. You see whether your brand appears in that local answer, which competitors do, and which pages are cited.
How do I track AI answers by city?
Once local tracking is enabled for your brand, open a prompt, switch to Local tracking, search the city and enable it. The first local check runs with your next scheduled analysis, and results appear in the Local tracking view with their own history.
Which AI models run the local checks?
Location checks currently run on Google AI Mode, with the other models in your plan rolling out. Your other tracked models keep answering from your brand country in standard tracking.
Does local tracking change my visibility score?
No. Local answers are stored in their own history and never enter the headline score, the prompt table or the Overview charts. Local figures live in the Local tracking view of the prompt.
How many prompts can I track locally?
Up to 10 prompts per brand once local tracking is enabled for the brand (paid plans, rolling out), with one city per prompt. Stop local tracking on a prompt to free that slot, and give near me prompts and local comparisons the first slots.
Is this local SEO for AI search?
Yes, on the measurement side. Local tracking shows what AI search tells buyers in a city, who it names instead of you and which pages it cites, so you can fix content, citations and reviews for that city and check the answer again.
