Search Console can show that a topic has real demand. It cannot show whether an AI answer recommends your brand for the same need. AI visibility alone cannot tell you whether the topic matters in Google Search.

What the Peekaboo connection brings in

Google Search Console logo

First-party Google Search performance, connected to the same brand you track in Peekaboo.

  • Top queries with clicks, impressions, CTR and average position
  • Top landing pages with the same core Search Console performance metrics
  • Intent labels and query-to-prompt workflows for prioritizing observed demand
  • A selected Search Console property attached to the authorized Peekaboo brand

Connect, select and investigate

  1. 1

    Authorize read-only access

Start from a Peekaboo brand on a paid plan above Starter. Google asks you to approve the Search Console read-only scope.

  2. 2

    Choose the matching property

Select the domain or URL-prefix property that represents the brand and site you want to analyze.

  3. 3

    Sync queries and pages

Peekaboo stores the returned query and page metrics so the workspace can load them without calling Google on every page view.

  4. 4

    Compare the evidence

Use observed search demand to prioritize prompts and pages, then inspect AI visibility separately before deciding what to change.

Search Console data-quality boundaries

  • Google says Search Console performance data is normally available after two to three days, so recent dates can be incomplete.
  • Some queries are omitted for privacy, and row tables can be truncated; visible query rows may not sum to the property total.
  • Property scope, canonical URL aggregation, filters and time zones can all change a comparison.
  • Search Console does not report referral sessions from third-party assistants such as ChatGPT or Perplexity; use session analytics for that workflow.

Read-only means read-only

The OAuth connection requests Google Search Console read access. Peekaboo can retrieve the properties and performance data the authorizing Google account is allowed to view; it does not edit your site, change indexing settings, submit removals or alter Search Console configuration through this connection.
