Otterly AI Review (2026): Pricing, Features, and Is It Worth It?
Otterly AI is one of the more capable GEO monitoring platforms out there. This review covers what it actually does well, where the prompt limits and add-on costs create friction, and how it compares directly to AI Peekaboo, Profound, Peec AI, and Scrunch AI.

Otterly AI came out at exactly the right moment. When it launched, most teams tracking AI search visibility were doing it manually: running ChatGPT prompts, screenshotting results, pasting into spreadsheets. Otterly turned that into an automated process with actual trend data. For that alone, it earned its reputation in GEO circles.
That said, a useful tool isn't automatically the right tool for your setup. Prompt-based pricing gets expensive at scale, two of the six AI platforms cost extra, and honest user testing hasn't found a consistent correlation between AI brand mentions and actual traffic lifts yet. Otterly works well for specific use cases and less well for others. This review gets into which is which.
I'll cover pricing, core features, what real users are saying on G2 and Reddit, and a direct comparison with AI Peekaboo so you can make the call yourself.

What Is Otterly AI?
At its core, Otterly AI is an AI search monitoring and GEO platform. It tracks how your brand and competitors show up across six AI platforms: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Bing AI, Google AI Mode, and Gemini. The last two are add-ons rather than included by default, which matters for pricing.
The core promise is straightforward: instead of manually checking whether your brand appears in AI answers every week, Otterly runs your prompts automatically, logs the results, and gives you trend data over time. That's genuinely useful, and it works as advertised.
Key Features
Automated AI Search Monitoring
Otterly runs your predefined prompts daily across your chosen AI platforms and logs what comes back. Over time you get visibility trend data, not just point-in-time snapshots. That's the fundamental value: turning a manual spot-check process into something automated and comparable over time.
One thing worth knowing: LLM outputs are sensitive to prompt wording. A slight change in phrasing can produce a completely different response from the same model on the same day. Otterly runs identical prompts consistently, which removes that variable from your tracking. But it also means your prompt design matters a lot upfront. A vague prompt library will give you consistent data that doesn't mean very much.
Link Citation Tracking
Most monitoring tools tell you whether your brand was mentioned. Otterly goes a step further and tracks which URLs are actually cited. If ChatGPT mentions your brand but links to a competitor's comparison article instead of your site, that shows up in the data. For teams doing content gap analysis, this is the feature that surfaces what to fix.
GEO Audit
The GEO Audit analyzes 25+ on-page factors that affect how AI models interpret and cite your pages. It's available from the Standard plan ($189/mo), with 5,000 URL audits per month, going up to 10,000 on Premium ($489/mo).
This is the feature that separates Otterly from tools that only tell you what's happening without helping you understand why. If your team has already decided that AI search matters and you want specific, page-level recommendations for closing gaps, the GEO Audit is what makes Otterly worth the price. Without it, you're monitoring a problem without the tools to address it.
Share of Voice vs. Competitors
You can track how often your brand appears relative to named competitors across the same prompt set. Useful for internal reporting or for agencies pitching GEO work to clients: it gives you a comparable benchmark rather than just your own raw visibility numbers. In practice, the most useful application is spotting which competitors are showing up consistently for prompts where you're not, and working backward from there.
AI Prompt Research Tool
Otterly converts traditional keywords into conversational prompts suited for AI search. A reasonable starting point if you're building your prompt library from scratch. Teams that already have a clear sense of how their buyers phrase questions will probably want to supplement this with their own research rather than rely on it entirely.
Reporting
All tiers include unlimited brand reports and weekly automated report delivery. Standard and Premium add a Google Looker Studio connector. Agency plans add white-label client workspaces, custom-branded reports, and pitch workspaces for prospecting. The agency reporting setup is well thought out: separate workspaces per client, branded output, and extra prompts included in the agency tiers rather than charged as overages.
Otterly AI Pricing
Otterly runs on prompt-based pricing. The more prompts you need per month, the higher the tier you're on. It's a transparent model: you know exactly what you're buying. Whether it's good value depends almost entirely on how many prompts your use case actually requires.

The headline prices don't include everything. Google AI Mode and Gemini aren't in any base tier. They're paid add-ons ranging from $9/month to $149/month depending on your plan. If you need full platform coverage, that's a meaningful addition to the monthly cost, especially on the lower tiers where the add-on price is proportionally high relative to the base.
Overages cost $99 per 100 extra prompts monthly, or $85 on annual billing. For a single brand tracking a focused prompt set, the included limits are probably fine. For agencies tracking multiple brands across multiple markets, the numbers compound quickly.
There's a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, which makes it easy to test with your own brand data. Agency partners get extra prompts on Standard and Premium (150 and 500 respectively, versus the standard 100 and 400), plus the separate client workspace management that makes it practical to run multiple client accounts cleanly.
What Users Are Saying
G2 reviews are consistently positive. Recurring themes in the Otterly AI G2 reviews: Valuable Insights (15 mentions), Easy Setup (12), Intuitive Interface (10), Ease of Use (8), AI Features (8). The setup and UX feedback is the most consistent signal across reviews. Teams that found implementation painful on other tools specifically call out Otterly as the opposite.
Reddit gives a more nuanced picture. One detailed thread on r/ArtificialIntelligence documented a tester who ran Otterly alongside Peec AI, AthenaHQ, Profound, and several others over multiple months. The finding: no consistent correlation between increased AI brand mentions and actual increases in traffic or conversions. The monitoring data was accurate, but improving visibility scores didn't reliably move business metrics.
That's an important caveat, but it's also an industry-wide issue right now, not something specific to Otterly. AI search as a traffic channel is still early enough that the attribution models don't exist yet. Tracking competitor narratives, identifying content gaps, and benchmarking share of voice are still legitimate uses even if the direct revenue link isn't proven. Just go in with realistic expectations about what the data will and won't tell you.
Separate threads in r/SaaS and r/digital_marketing positioned Otterly as strong on the technical GEO audit side and the best option for deep citation analysis, but often recommended pairing it with additional tools for broader strategy work. The general sentiment: it does the monitoring and audit jobs well, but it's a component of a GEO stack rather than a complete solution by itself.
Pros and Cons
GEO Audit included from Standard: Analyzes 25+ on-page factors across thousands of URLs per month. One of the more actionable features in the category.
Link citation tracking: Shows which specific URLs are cited by AI models, not just whether your brand is mentioned. Useful for content gap analysis.
Clean UX and fast setup: G2 reviewers consistently call it intuitive. Most users are monitoring their first prompts within an hour.
Transparent prompt-based pricing: You know exactly what you're buying. No ambiguous "credits" or opaque usage tiers.
Genuine agency support: Separate client workspaces, custom-branded reporting, pitch workspaces for prospecting, and extra prompts on agency plans.
Google AI Mode and Gemini cost extra: Two of the six AI platforms aren't included in the base price. The add-on cost varies by tier ($9 to $149/month) but it's an additional line item either way.
Prompt limits get restrictive at scale: 100 prompts per month isn't a lot if you're tracking a large brand across multiple product lines and markets. Overage costs $99 per 100 extra prompts.
No proven direct traffic ROI yet: Reddit testing found no consistent correlation between increased AI brand mentions and actual traffic or conversion lifts. This is a channel-maturity issue, not specific to Otterly, but worth being clear-eyed about.
Prompt sensitivity: LLM outputs change with phrasing. Week-to-week fluctuations in your visibility data may reflect the model's behavior variance more than actual changes in your brand's standing.
AI Peekaboo tracks brand and competitor visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Google AI Mode. Automated daily monitoring, branded reports, and no hard cap on search prompts.
The most practical difference from Otterly: white-label reporting is included on every plan, so agencies don't need to upgrade to unlock it. Google AI Mode is included in the base price rather than charged as an add-on. The tradeoff is that Otterly's GEO Audit is more developed at this point. If on-page optimization diagnostics are central to your workflow, that gap matters.
Otterly has the edge on GEO Audit depth. AI Peekaboo has the edge on prompt volume, platform coverage without add-ons, and white-label reporting from day one. Which matters more depends on whether your main job is monitoring or optimization.

Profound
Profound is built for enterprise. Deep data modeling, custom reporting, brand presence and competitive positioning analytics at a scale that smaller tools don't match. If you need detailed breakdowns across large keyword sets and executive-ready reporting dashboards, Profound is worth evaluating.
For most growth-stage SaaS teams and agencies working with SMB clients, it's overbuilt. The pricing reflects the enterprise positioning, and the implementation overhead is real.
If your use case is brand-level analytics and reporting at scale, Profound belongs in your evaluation. If you need quick setup and clean client-facing reports without a long onboarding process, look elsewhere.

Peec AI
Peec AI takes a different angle. Rather than focusing on monitoring what AI says about you today, it's designed to help you build content that earns citations going forward. The emphasis is on research and optimization workflows rather than tracking and reporting.
It tracks AI visibility across platforms, but the product is oriented toward content strategists working upstream of the problem. The pricing also changed recently: Peec AI moved to a per-brand model with separate agency tiers, so the cost comparison with Otterly depends heavily on how many brands you're tracking.
If active GEO content strategy is your focus and you want a research layer on top of monitoring, Peec AI is worth a look. If you mainly need to track and report on current brand visibility, Otterly is more directly suited.

Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI focuses on how your content performs inside AI-generated responses. Citation patterns, which pages get pulled into AI answers, what makes certain content more citable than others. The analysis layer is more granular than most tools in this category.
The feature set overlaps with Otterly on monitoring and citation tracking. Where Scrunch differentiates is in the depth of content analysis: if you want to understand the structural reasons why certain pages are being cited and others aren't, Scrunch goes further than Otterly on that specific question.
Pricing is broadly similar to Otterly at the SMB end, with separate agency tiers. The practical advice: run both trials back-to-back with your own brand data. The reporting format and how each tool surfaces insights is different enough that live data will tell you more than a feature comparison ever will.

The Verdict
Otterly AI is a solid tool that does what it promises. The GEO Audit is genuinely differentiated, the citation tracking is more granular than most competitors offer, and the UX is clean enough that teams can get meaningful data out of it quickly. For a team building a GEO practice from scratch, it's one of the better places to start.
The caveats are real though. Prompt limits create friction at scale. Two of the six platforms cost extra on top of an already meaningful monthly price. And the direct revenue attribution from AI brand monitoring is still unproven, which means the business case requires some tolerance for investing in a channel where ROI isn't yet measurable. That's not Otterly's fault specifically, but it's worth being honest about going in.
The 14-day free trial with no credit card is the right way to evaluate it. Use your actual brand data, run the prompts your buyers would actually use, and see whether the GEO Audit findings match what you'd already suspected about your content gaps. If they do, the tool is probably worth it.
If you're an agency and white-label reporting on day one matters without an upgrade cost, put AI Peekaboo on the list before making a final call. The two tools solve different parts of the problem, and for some teams, the right answer is one of them. For others, it might be both.
Full transparency: I am the Founder and CEO of AI Peekaboo, and we are included in this comparison. This review is based on published pricing, independent testing data, G2 reviews, and verified user discussions. I have represented Otterly AI's strengths as accurately as its limitations, regardless of where that lands competitively.
