HubSpot AEO tracks one brand on three AI platforms. These eight alternatives add Google AI Overviews, more brands or more prompts, with live prices and who each one fits.
AI Peekaboo is the best HubSpot AEO alternative for agencies with several client brands, because every client gets its own prompts, competitors and dashboard on a single plan you size yourself. A solo marketer who wants a low-cost daily check should choose Otterly instead, and a large enterprise company should choose Profound.
HubSpot AEO itself is a sensible first tracker: $50 a month buys 25 prompts run every day on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise customers get it with their plan. Teams look elsewhere when they need Google's AI answers, more than one brand, or a prompt allowance with a published price. Each of the eight tools below fixes at least one of those.
Why teams look for HubSpot AEO alternatives
HubSpot AEO has four limits, and our HubSpot AEO review walks through the rest of the tool.
Three AI platforms by default. HubSpot AEO tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Claude, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews only come through an opt-in beta that uses twice the answer allowance per prompt, and Microsoft Copilot isn't on the list. A brand that depends on Google search needs that beta to see the AI answers that sit inside it.
One brand per setup. Every unique brand needs its own AEO setup, through a separate $50 subscription or the Brands add-on in Marketing Hub. HubSpot notes that prompt groups don't create separate dashboards or recommendations per brand, so an agency meets this limit with its second client.
A fixed allowance. The standalone plan and Marketing Hub Professional both include 25 daily prompts, and Enterprise includes 50. Marketing Hub accounts can add 10 prompts for $20 a month, but HubSpot doesn't publish what extra prompts cost on the standalone plan.
Daily runs only. HubSpot documents daily runs only, with no lighter schedule. I think tracking at least weekly is what matters; daily runs mainly pay off if you need a daily trend.
A free check is not tracking. HubSpot's free AI Search Grader is a one-time look at what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini say about you. HubSpot says the ChatGPT and Gemini answers come from training data, while Perplexity's come from live search. It shows where you stand today, but it can't tell you whether a fix worked. AI Peekaboo's is a similar one-time report, drawn from ChatGPT and Gemini answers.

The best HubSpot AEO alternatives
1. AI Peekaboo: best for agencies that outgrow one brand per HubSpot account
An agency that has added its third client to HubSpot AEO is paying for three separate setups and checking three dashboards. AI Peekaboo replaces that with one plan you build from four choices: how many brands, how many prompts each brand gets, which AI platforms run them and how often. Each client sits in its own brand with separate prompts, competitors and dashboard, and the bill covers all of them.
The bigger change for most HubSpot users is coverage. AI Peekaboo lets you choose from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Claude API, with plans from $30 a month. A client who lives on Google search gets numbers for the AI answers on the results page. You can also run prompts weekly or every two days instead of daily, which lets a modest budget cover far more questions.
Key features
Choose from seven AI platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Claude API.
See the answers and sources behind every score, for every client brand under one account and one bill.
Audit prospects in unlimited pitch workspaces that share one extra brand slot.
Get prompt suggestions, recommendations and content briefs that tell you what to publish next for each brand.
Share results through read-only client links or white-label reports, both included once your plan reaches $100 a month, or use Looker Studio or the API for your own dashboards.
Connect GA4 and Google Search Console so each client's AI visibility sits beside its search traffic, and query your tracked brands from Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor through the MCP server.

Claude API carries a separate premium, shown in your quote.

Eligible plans under $100 a month start with a 14-day trial, and the trial needs a card.
Put your own brand count, prompts and platforms into the AI Peekaboo pricing calculator for an exact price.
Who should choose it
Choose AI Peekaboo if you run AI visibility for several clients. Each one gets its own tracking, and client reports start at $100 a month. Google's AI answers are included when a client needs them. On HubSpot's standalone plan, ten brands means ten $50 subscriptions, $500 a month, for 25 daily prompts each on three platforms. The $133 setup above runs 40 weekly prompts per brand on five platforms, including Google's. That's less frequent tracking, not the same workload; daily runs cost more, so price them in the calculator if you need them. It also suits a single brand that has outgrown HubSpot's three platforms and wants to choose its own schedule.
Look elsewhere if you want the tool to write articles for you: AI Peekaboo stops at briefs, and AIclicks or Rankshift go further into drafting.
2. Otterly: best for solo marketers who want a low-cost daily check
Otterly is the closest swap for a one-person marketing team: it costs $29 a month against HubSpot's $50. The entry plan is a fixed bundle of 15 search prompts, a daily refresh and four AI platforms, Google AI Overviews among them.
That swap trades 10 prompts for Google coverage. Gemini, which HubSpot includes, is a paid extra here, along with Google AI Mode and Claude, so price those in if you need them.
Key features
Track ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot on every plan, refreshed daily.
Add Google AI Mode, Gemini or Claude as separately priced engines.
Invite unlimited team members on every plan: a freelancer can share the account with a client at no cost.
See brand visibility, sentiment, citation sources and recommendations, with three recommendations a week on Lite and unlimited from Standard.
Get API and MCP access from Standard upward, and agency partners get branded Looker Studio reports and pitch workspaces.

Who should choose it
Choose Otterly if you look after one brand, want AI Overviews from day one and are happy with a small fixed prompt list. It is the simplest plan here to understand; the Otterly AI review goes deeper.
Skip it if you need many prompts or several engines on a budget. The jump from 15 to 100 prompts takes you from $29 to $189, and each extra engine is priced per plan; AI Peekaboo, where you set prompts and platforms yourself, is the better fit there.
3. Peec AI: best for in-house teams tracking several markets
Peec AI suits a company that sells in more than one country and wants its tracking organized by market. We reviewed it in our Peec AI review. Its Pro and Advanced plans cover three countries, and the same prompts can run for, say, the US, the UK and Germany; every plan includes unlimited languages, and prompts refresh daily.
HubSpot fixes your three platforms. Peec lets you pick three of six, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, but Perplexity is Enterprise-only, so you can't keep HubSpot's exact trio on Starter, Pro or Advanced.
Key features
Choose three models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver.
Track one country on Starter and three on Pro and Advanced, in any language.
Add unlimited users on every plan, letting regional marketers all read the same dashboard at no extra cost.
Organize work into projects: one on Starter, two on Pro, five on Advanced.
Use the API from Pro, connect Looker Studio on Advanced, and get up to 14 models and SSO on Enterprise.

Who should choose it
Choose Peec AI if you are an in-house team selling in several countries and want each market's prompts side by side, and you can live with three platforms.
Skip it if you need Perplexity without paying for Enterprise, or if you run many small client brands on the standard plans, where a fixed project count gets tight. Peec also has an offer for agencies tracking multiple brands. Otterly includes Perplexity on its entry plan, and AI Peekaboo handles many client brands.
4. Rankshift: best for SEO consultants running many projects
Rankshift is built around unlimited projects and seats, which suits a consultant with many small sites. Starter lists 150 prompts a day, with a credit allowance that depends on how many models you track and how often you refresh.
It also leans into content. Its plans list a content brief generator and an AI content writer, plus crawler analytics. A consultant can move from a visibility gap to a draft in one tool.
Key features
Track all the AI models Rankshift supports, including ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Perplexity.
Run unlimited projects and seats on every plan.
Refresh prompts daily or weekly, paid for with a monthly credit allowance.
Generate content briefs and drafts with the built-in AI writer.
Connect Looker Studio, and use MCP and API access on every plan.

Rankshift's tracking runs on credits, so the number of models and how often prompts refresh decide how far a plan goes; its credit calculator estimates usage.
A 30-day trial is available, and annual billing saves 15%.
Who should choose it
Choose Rankshift if you're an SEO consultant or small agency juggling many projects and want briefs and drafts in the same place as tracking.
Skip it if you'd rather not manage credits. Otterly's fixed prompt counts or AI Peekaboo's calculator are easier to forecast when a client asks what next month will cost. Our Rankshift alternatives list covers more options.
5. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for SEO teams already in Semrush
If your SEO work already happens in Semrush, its AI Visibility Toolkit is the natural place to add prompt tracking (we review it separately in our Semrush AI toolkit review). It gives you the same 25 prompts as HubSpot AEO for $99 a month, nearly double HubSpot's price, but it sits next to the Semrush tools your team already uses.
Semrush runs your 25 prompts daily, names Google AI Mode and ChatGPT for prompt tracking, and says its reports also draw on Gemini and Perplexity. Confirm your prompts cover Gemini and Perplexity before you cancel HubSpot AEO. Semrush's brand performance reports show how those answers describe you. I think SEO is the foundation of AI visibility, so for a team already in Semrush, seeing both in one login matters more than the price gap.
Key features
Track 25 custom prompts daily on the standalone toolkit.
Get brand performance reports on how AI answers mention you and the tone they use, with recommendations.
Use the toolkit's Prompt Research and Competitor Research alongside your existing Semrush data.
Upgrade to Semrush One for 50, 100 or 200 prompts on Starter, Pro+ and Advanced.

Choose Semrush if your team already runs SEO in Semrush and wants AI visibility in the same login.
Skip it if you need many brands or a large team. Per-user and per-domain charges add up quickly, and AI Peekaboo has no seat charge at all.
6. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for SEO teams already paying for Ahrefs
Ahrefs Brand Radar starts from the market rather than from your own prompt list. Ahrefs lets you look up any brand's AI visibility across hundreds of millions of prompts with no setup. I'd treat that index as a map of the market, not your buyers' exact questions: choosing your own prompts is still the foundation of tracking.
You can also track your own prompts daily, weekly or monthly. Checks come two ways: a small daily quota in every paid Ahrefs plan, or a check package for your own prompts alone. Brand Radar, from €179, adds the AI visibility index. For a team already on Ahrefs, the Ahrefs Brand Radar review is the longer read.
Key features
Research any brand's visibility across hundreds of millions of prompts on Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot.
Track custom prompts daily, weekly or monthly from a monthly check allowance.
Add Claude to custom tracking, knowing each Claude update uses eight checks.

Standard and Advanced Ahrefs plans include 300 and 600 checks, and extra users cost more on every plan.
2,500 checks cover about 27 daily prompts on three platforms, or roughly 190 weekly.
Package overage is billed at the end of the month.
Who should choose it
Choose Brand Radar if your team already pays for Ahrefs and wants to research AI visibility across a whole category before choosing what to track.
Skip the index if your brand barely appears in AI answers yet, because Ahrefs says it works best once a brand already shows up. The Basic package is the better route for that brand: at €46.70 a month it covers about 27 daily prompts on three platforms, against HubSpot's 25 on three, without the index. Choose Otterly or AI Peekaboo instead if you don't already pay for Ahrefs and want per-client dashboards.
7. Profound: best for large enterprise companies
Profound suits a large company that needs broad answer-engine coverage, SSO and SOC 2, and an agent product on top of tracking.
Agent usage is paid in credits, and larger allowances need an Enterprise package, so ask what your team's allotment covers before you sign.
Key features
Track ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search on Enterprise.
Meet security requirements with SSO through SAML and SOC 2 compliance.
Export data as CSV or JSON, use the API and keep all-time history on Enterprise.
Add as many users as you like: seats are unlimited on the trial and Enterprise.
Use AI Marketer and Agents, which are billed in credits.

Who should choose it
Choose Profound if you're a marketing team at a large company that needs one platform to cover up to nine answer engines, with SSO and SOC 2 for your IT team. Our Profound review covers the platform. For a smaller program, I think a custom enterprise contract buys more than you need, and a self-serve tracker gets you the same core answers sooner.
Skip it if you track one brand or several small client brands. Profound doesn't publish Enterprise prices; its agency tab lists $99 a month for Agency Growth and $399 a month per full client workspace, which is steep for small accounts. AI Peekaboo prices any mix of brands on its calculator.
8. AIclicks: best for lean teams that want content drafts from the gaps
AIclicks pairs prompt tracking with a monthly quota of AI-optimized articles. A small team that spots a gap in AI answers can turn it into a draft without opening another tool, which is the step HubSpot's standalone plan leaves to you.
Key features
Choose three models on Starter, four on Pro and six on Business, from a list that includes ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Naver.
Generate 5, 15 or 30 AI-optimized articles a month, depending on the plan.
Track one website on Starter and unlimited websites on Pro and Business, so an agency needs Pro or above.

When to stay with HubSpot AEO
I'd stay with HubSpot AEO if you're on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise. AEO comes with the plan, prompt suggestions use your CRM data, and Marketing Hub itself generates blog posts. You don't need a second tool for drafts.
Stay, too, if you market one brand, your buyers use ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and 25 daily prompts cover the questions that matter. At $50 a month it costs less than most of the tools above at their entry price, and a second tracker would mostly duplicate it.
Move when a client or a second brand arrives, when Google drives a big share of your pipeline, or when you need more than 25 prompts and the price HubSpot quotes you for extras doesn't beat a tool built for that volume.
How to switch from HubSpot AEO
Keep HubSpot AEO running until the new tracker shows the same trends.
Record your current HubSpot AEO setup: every prompt, your competitor list with brand name variations, and the products and audiences behind the prompts.
Note the visibility numbers HubSpot AEO reports for each platform, so you have a baseline to compare against.
Rebuild the same prompts and competitors in the new tool before adding anything new.
Run both for a few weeks on the platforms both tools cover. Expect different scores, because AI answers vary run to run and each tool has its own setup, and compare the direction of change rather than the numbers.
Add the platforms HubSpot didn't cover, such as Google AI Overviews or AI Mode, once the shared baseline looks stable.
Cancel HubSpot AEO, or stop using it if it came with Marketing Hub, when the new tool explains the same movements you were seeing before.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good alternative to HubSpot AEO?
AI Peekaboo if you manage several client brands or want to choose your own prompts and platforms, Otterly for a cheap solo check, Profound for a large enterprise. If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, use their tools.
Is there a free alternative to HubSpot's AI Search Grader?
Yes. AI Peekaboo's free AI visibility checker gives you a snapshot of how ChatGPT and Gemini answers name you, which competitors appear alongside you and the sources available to review. It is a one-time report and needs no credit card.
Which HubSpot AEO alternative tracks Google AI Overviews?
Seven of the eight name it: AI Peekaboo, Otterly, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Rankshift, Profound, Peec AI and AIclicks. Semrush doesn't name AI Overviews, only Google AI Mode and a general Google AI mention, so confirm Overviews before you buy. Peec AI and AIclicks count it as one of your chosen models. HubSpot AEO tracks it only through an opt-in beta.
Can you keep your HubSpot AEO history after switching?
Plan as if you can't. HubSpot lists no export or transfer for tracking history, so a new tracker starts building your own prompt history on its first run. Record your prompts, competitors and recent scores before you cancel, and run both tools side by side for a few weeks.
Start with your own visibility.
