Content freshness
Plenty of research out there and real-life stories and use cases from other companies showcase that AI engines have a preference or bias to cite content that's been published within the last 12 months.
This being said, you have two options on how to start optimizing for content freshness:
- Create new content and publish it regularly
- If you already have content that's been on the web for quite some time, make sure to update it
Extra tip: Take a look at SEO tools (Like Ahrefs) and Google Search Console data to look at the keywords that are ranking the best so that you can change the contents of your blog pieces accordingly.
